Your Favorite Fishing Story
Please share your story of the "one that got away" around the campfirewith us.

I'll post it for free below. Please try to be honest........
One of my favorite memories is getting up early in the morning and going fishing
with "Gramps". Gramps lived on a lake and knew all the good spots. It was an early
summer morning the sun was creeping up and there was a mist over the lake, no sound
except an occasional duck or fish jumping. It wasn't the fishing or the stillness of the
morning that made that day memorable.....it was just being with my grandfather.

I was at Indepence Grove Park, Libertyville, Illinois. I was bringing in a huge
bluegill in. Just as it was just about to come out of water next to the boat, a huge
green flash appeared swiftly out from the depths. Wow, a huge bass hit that
bluegill. Both my girlfriend and myself were fishing in the boat with our toes in the
water because it was so hot. That bass scared us, but at the same time it was one
of those "once in a lifetime moments". We lost both fish but laughed so hard.
I love fishing!

FISHING
A bobber and a worm,
the lake and the fish,
the bite and the fight,
the catch and the release,
the satisfaction and the desire fulfilled!
